Randal Nardone: The Success Behind The Fortress Investment Group

The most recent acquisition of the Fortress Investment Group by SoftBank has been the best thing that has happened to Randal Nardone’s company. Even with the purchase, the company still maintains its day to day activities, and the leadership still stands. Mr. Randal, the CEO to the Fortress Group, noted that the deal would enable the company to expand and finance more contracts due to the access of more capital.

Randal Nardone co-founded the firm in 1998, alongside Peter Briger and Wes Edens. Randal has been actively involved in the day to day activities of the Fortress Investment Group after taking the position of CEO in 2013. His contributions to the investment firm are part of the reason why the firm manages more than $43 billion in assets. Randal’s experiences have made him a notable leader in charge of more than one company. He is a principal and chairman of the Springleaf Financial Holdings. Nardone also serves as the COO of the RIC Coinvestment Fund and Newcastle Investment Corp. He as well helped establish the Fortress Investment Fund IV and V which he runs as the Chief Operating Officer.

Before the Fortress Investment Group, Randal Nardone was already wealthy with leadership experience. Later on, he went to Blackrock Financial Management and took the role of the principal. In April 1997, he ended his time at Blackrock and in May took up the role of Managing director at UBS. He worked for a year before joining hands with Wes Edens and Peter Briger to start Fortress Investment in 1998. Randal Nardone has worked for Fortress Investment as the secretary, the Vice President, and the Chief Operating Officer.
